Nearly two-thirds of Realtors volunteer in their communities every month, while 84% made charitable donations over the past year, according to the National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) 2026 Community Aid and Real Estate report. The report examines the monetary and volunteer contributions of NAR members, broker-owners, association executives and multiple listing service (MLS) staff, highlighting a culture of community involvement across the real estate industry. “Realtors and their associations serve as pillars of their communities through their time, dollars and dedication,” said Jessica Lautz, NAR deputy chief economist and vice president of research. “Charitable giving and volunteering are a defining feature of who Realtors are, and they consistently make time to invest in the people and places around them.” Among members who volunteer monthly, the typical commitment is eight hours per month. Realtors who made charitable donations over the past year reported a typical donation amount of $1,500. Community involvement was also common among brokerage and association leaders.
