Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg’s latest home purchase appears fit for a billionaire who runs the world’s largest social media empire. Zuckerberg, who is married to Dr. Priscilla Chan and has three children, bought the Strancally Castle in Waterford, Ireland, a spokesman for the tech executive confirmed Friday. “Mark and his family look forward to caring for this historic home and visiting when traveling to Ireland, where Meta maintains its international headquarters,” said Brian Baker, a spokesman for Zuckerberg.The 440-acre property could be worth more than $25 million , according to the Irish Times, which first reported on the purchase. The 19th century Gothic-style mansion, which has been renovated over the last two decades, is three stories and spans 16,000 square feet. The purchase is the latest example of how tech billionaires have been expanding their real estate holdings outside California. Zuckerberg previously bought property in Hawaii and paid $23 million in cash for a 15,000-square-foot mansion in Washington D.C.
