Let America Build campaign backs pro-building policies

A coalition of real estate, builder and housing nonprofits on Tuesday launched “Let America Build,” a national public awareness campaign aimed at advancing pro-building policies as communities begin implementing the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act. Founding participants include Realtor.com, Zillow, T3 Sixty, eXp Realty and NextHome, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Veterans United, Habitat for Humanity, ICON, Land Use Labs, HomeServices of America, RISMedia, the Asian Real Estate Association of America, the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, the National Association of Realtors and the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, according to the announcement. The campaign is built around a straightforward message: closing the nation’s housing shortage will require building more homes. According to the announcement, the initiative will work to highlight examples of local policy changes and provide resources that explain how land use, permitting, housing types and construction choices affect supply in individual communities.
