SOLD: No.100 Jacksons Rd, Franklin. Picture: Supplied The new owners of this Franklin home knew all about it long before purchasing the property. They had their eyes on it years ago. They’d already fallen in love. No.100 Jacksons Rd, Franklin was last week’s highest property sale in Tasmania, per realestate.com.au, fetching $1.64m. The deal for this 13.79ha holding with wide river views was negotiated by Amber Leighton, sales manager at Homelands Property. Ms Leighton said the purchasers were based interstate but had been travelling to Tasmania to search for their perfect property. “They saw this property last time it was on the market, but unfortunately it had already been sold before they made an inquiry,” she said. “So when they saw it come up for sale again, they already knew the property, any changes and updates that had been made, and they had already researched the locality — they were primed to take the opportunity that they missed out on last time.” MORE: Rare find is more than meets the eye Hobart listings plunge as rest of nation lifts 193% in 10 years: Australia’s No.1 growth market revealed Waterfront landmark sold amid stadium-driven investor confidence No.100 Jackson...
