A man who stayed in his late stepmother’s house for more than five years after both she and his father died has been slugged with a $90,000 bill, after a judge ruled he had no right to be there. Anthony Carter was declared a trespasser by the Supreme Court of Tasmania after refusing to leave the Devonport home, despite being told days after his father’s death to vacate the property.
