Stockton Mortgage elevates founder David Stockton to CEO, names new president

Stockton Mortgage on Wednesday announced a restructuring of its executive leadership team as the company positions itself for long-term growth and national expansion. David Stockton, who established and founded Stockton Mortgage more than 20 years ago, will transition from his longtime role as president to become chief executive officer. “This is an exciting moment for Stockton Mortgage. We are poised for rapid growth and expansion and have reorganized our top level structure and have attracted key industry talent to support this next chapter for our company,” Stockton said in a statement shared with HousingWire. As part of the reorganization, Stockton named Anthony Whiteside as the company’s new president. Whiteside, an 18-year veteran of the firm, will assume responsibility for Stockton’s day-to-day operations. “Stockton’s always been about the people, about the culture, and the new leadership there is really just about the growth and keeping our culture the way the way that we see it going, the way it needs to be,” he said during a conversation with HousingWire ahead of the announcement. “I’m excited about the transition.
