Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Prepare Their Upper East Side Townhouse for a New Family Member

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are opening the doors of their New York City home to a new member of the family—an adorable puppy named Javi they recently adopted. The husband-and-wife TV hosts featured an “Adopt a Dog Week”-themed segment during the Oct. 12 episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark.” It was during this bit that the couple met their new furry friend, a rescue from a New Jersey–based organization called Pet ResQ Inc. Ripa and Consuelos immediately fell for the puppy, originally named Lucas. The couple gave him a new moniker before he was officially adopted. “Listen, Mark walked into my dressing room this morning with Lucas in his arms,” Ripa shared. “And I saw a different you. I saw a kinder, gentler you.” Ripa, 56, and Consuelos, 55, are parents to Michael, 29, Lola, 25, and Joaquin, 23, as well as another dog, named Lena.
