How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘vanished overnight’ from $21m mansion

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fled their $21m California mansion so quickly they reportedly failed to inform their children’s school and left prized koi fish behind in their garden pond. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quietly left their nine-bedroom Montecito estate after six years to relocate to the UK Cotswolds. Neighbours have broken their silence on the couple’s sudden departure, revealing even teachers at seven-year-old Archie and five-year-old Lilibet’s exclusive £20,000 ($A37,000)-a-year school were kept in the dark. Penny Bianchi, whose £8m ($15m) estate borders Oprah Winfrey’s property, said the family simply vanished. “I know Archie goes to the school and that they didn’t even know they were leaving until everyone else found out,” Ms Bianchi told The Sun. “They’ve been told, ‘Don’t hold a place for him as he’s not coming back any time soon’. They just disappeared overnight.” MORE: ‘NDA signed’: Harry, Meg cuts all ties with US King’s shock act after Harry eviction fallout ‘Final straw’: Meghan, Harry quit UK over gift The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left California after six years to relocate to the UK Cotswolds.
