Mein St has some of the best views of the trackside action
Property punters are expected to chomp at the bit over the largest trackside property listing seen in years.
Overlooking Eagle Farm racecourse at Hendra, two side-by-side properties spanning 1472sq m have hit the market, complete with a Queenslander house and a seven unit complex.
And you could live in one and take a gamble on Brisbane’s tight rental market, or relocate the Queenslander and knock down the unit complex to make way for a prestige home to rival the biggest of corporate marquees.

The Queenslander at 126 Mein St and the unit complex at 134 Mein St are being offered for sale in one-line by Aurora Property’s Jill Wright-Wotton and Tony Duncombe.
Publicly available property records show that both properties are owned by Haycorp, a developer specialising in Hendra.
“This is the largest trackside offering currently available,” Ms Wright-Wotton said.
“The properties are situated between the 1200m and 1400m markers on the course, with views up and down the back straight.
“The size of the offering is extremely rare in the exclusive street and the array of opportunities available is also going to pique interest.
“You don’t find many blank canvases of this scale with Eagle Farm racecourse’s rolling green straights as your view.”
What is there now
The existing Queenslander has been lovingly retained and, with the apartment investment next door, offers purchasers an opportunity to live in one of Hendra’s coveted streets and earn a passive income next door.

There is also a Development Approval in place to relocate the Queenslander and remove the apartments.

Mr Duncombe said the future owner could build a grand home across the two addresses that would re-imagine racecourse living.
“They could also realise the potential of the site through a multi-dwelling development beside the track,” he said.
“We’ve been having some really exciting discussions with buyers and there has been the full spectrum of visions for the properties.”

Ms Wright-Wotton has been behind multiple Mein Street sales including an 850sq m vacant block which sold for $3.8 million in April last year.
“This combined offering is much larger in scale, making this an extremely rare opportunity for the market,” she said.
The Queensland Racing Carnival kicks off on May 2, with the agents taking best offers on the two properties until March 16.
