After nearly two years of bitter litigation, a Summit County judge dismissed two lawsuits related to a proposed construction project by Matthew Prince, the billionaire founder and CEO of cybersecurity firm Cloudflare, paving the way for him and his wife, Tatiana, to build their dream 11,000-square-foot (1,021 sqm) mansion. The friction began in 2022, when Prince first proposed building a sprawling estate in Park City’s historic Old Town, modelled after historic area mining camps. In early 2024, the Park City Planning Commission narrowly approved the build. A group of 10 neighbours — including Eric Hermann and his wife, Susan Fredston-Hermann — quickly appealed the decision, but lost.
