Rod Cameron, the veteran political pollster and strategist, is selling his Mosman home of half a century and hoping for a sale between $7m and $7.7m. He advised Labor prime ministers, premiers and leaders and is credited with inventing strategic political polling in the 1970s – looking at marginal seats and swinging voters. Cameron, who bought the four-bedroom home on a 353sqm block at 17 Musgrave St for $116,000 in 1977, was a prominent and often blunt commentator of Labor strategy and leadership and with his wife Margaret Gibbs founded a respected market research firm, ANOP Research – which he now runs as a sole operator.
