New American Funding (NAF) announced on Tuesday that it has named Stacy Chevalier as Northwest regional vice president, effective Sept. 1, as the independent mortgage lender looks to expand its presence across the Pacific Northwest. Chevalier will oversee growth and sales strategy in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. She joined New American Funding in January as an area manager. Chevalier has more than 26 years of experience in mortgage banking, sales and leadership, including work in retail mortgage banking, builder business, recruiting, production and market expansion. She has built and led mortgage teams in the Pacific Northwest and other markets. In her new role, Chevalier will focus on building teams and branches, identifying new market opportunities and helping mortgage professionals grow their businesses. “After two-and-a-half decades in mortgage banking, I’ve learned that the people and culture matter even more than the platform,” Chevalier said. She cited NAF’s servicing portfolio of more than $73 billion, its scale and its entrepreneurial approach as factors in joining the company.
