The man’s dad received the lottery ticket from his family friend, who he later split the winnings with. “My sisters and I grew up very privileged and definitely felt the benefits of it as we are adults. We had a good childhood education,” he explained. As any kid would, he expressed how cool it was to grow up getting everything he wanted and going on family trips. The lottery win became a curse. Both his parents quit their jobs – mum being a nurse and his dad working as a landscaper. They helped out a lot of their family friends who were struggling with their own financial situations.
