The J&W Gold Institute, the professional education arm of Johnson & Wilson Real Estate Company, has launched what it says is the nation’s first Historic Home Specialist designation for real estate professionals focused on historic properties. The credential, announced last week, is built around the institute’s Historic Property Mastery Series, an advanced curriculum covering preservation principles, historic valuation methodologies, federal and state preservation incentives, regulatory compliance, design review processes, architectural considerations and marketing strategies tailored to historic homes, according to the company announcement.
