HomeSmart signs marketing agreement with loanDepot

HomeSmart has entered into a marketing services agreement with loanDepot that gives the brokerage’s 25,000-plus real estate agents access to the lender’s mortgage product suite and loan officers, the companies announced Monday. The partnership links the Irvine, California-based retail lender with what HomeSmart describes as the country’s largest 100% commission-based brokerage, which operates across 250-plus offices in 48 states. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Carol Perry, HomeSmart’s chief business development officer, told HousingWire that the partnership is not exclusive, since HomeSmart also has a national agreement with Guild Mortgage, announced in May. But it also arrives as a marketing services agreement announced in October 2025 with Ohio-based lender Lower has expired. Perry said in the announcement that HomeSmart was looking for a lending partner with scale and broad product coverage. “loanDepot offers the reach, products and service capabilities we’re looking for in a lender.
