Construction is now under way on Gardner Vaughan Group’s first residential development on the Gold Coast, with works starting on the company’s Bronze on Chevron project at Chevron Island.

The 20-level development will deliver 119 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences together with two ground-floor retail tenancies. Two-bedroom designs are priced from $1.53m.

Expected to be completed in early 2029, it is being delivered under the group’s integrated development and construction model, with the company acting as both developer and builder.

Designed by Cottee Parker with landscape architecture by Jeremy Ferrier, commercial director Sam Gardner said Bronze on Chevron had been planned to respond to its island setting between the Nerang River and Surfers Paradise with the architectural design reflecting the subtropical climate and an emphasis on natural light, ventilation and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

“The development is positioned within walking distance of Thomas Drive’s cafes, restaurants and village retail precinct, while remaining close to the beaches, HOTA (Home Of The Arts), public transport and the wider cultural, retail and entertainment attractions of the Gold Coast,” he said.

When the group announced its expansion into the Gold Coast market, Mr Gardner described the move as a natural progression for the business.

“Our entry into the Gold Coast is both a strategic and natural evolution of our business,” he said.

“We’ve long admired the Gold Coast’s lifestyle offering cultural vibrancy and strong demand for thoughtfully designed homes.

“We’re excited to bring our approach to development into this dynamic market.”

Open-plan living areas extend to balconies overlooking the Surfers Paradise skyline, Nerang River and hinterland. Residences feature Bosch appliances, stone benchtops and colour palettes inspired by the coastal setting.

Mr Gardner said floorplans had been developed to accommodate a range of buyer preferences, from professionals and downsizers through to families seeking larger apartment living in a central location.

Residents will have access to more than 1250sq m of resort-style amenities, including landscaped recreation areas, a heated pool, gymnasium, yoga lawn and rooftop spaces for entertaining.

Mr Gardner said Chevron Island had become one of the Gold Coast’s most sought-after residential locations.

Established in 1989, the group has delivered residential communities across Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast for more than three decades.

Mr Gardner said the privately-owned company had maintained a 100 per cent project completion record, reflecting its integrated approach to development, design and construction.

“Throughout its history, Gardner Vaughan Group has also received multiple industry awards recognising excellence in residential development, construction and design,” he said.

The group also has a sponsorship agreement with Surfers Paradise Surf Life
Saving Club.

“The partnership reflects Gardner Vaughan Group’s commitment to supporting local organisations while establishing a long-term presence in one of Queensland’s most recognised coastal communities,” Mr Gardner said.
