Homeowners Ryan and Meredith Earley are parting ways with their family home in Zuccoli, which they spent eight years turning into a picture-perfect nest for their kids.
The five-bedroom house at 57 Warbird St sits on an 817sq m patch of land, and was bought by the pair while they were expecting their first child.
“Because we had our two kids there from birth, it really was just a perfect place for them to grow up,” Mr Earley said.
“It’s a close-knit community. With the primary school being [nearby], you get to know a lot of people around the area.”
The house at 57 Warbird St, Zuccoli, is on the market after eight years with a family who made it their dream home.
Built in 2012, the single-level home sits in a masterplanned suburb, just a short walk from schools, shops and local parks.
“With all the plans Zuccoli had with the council and community centre they were going to build, it was all in the right spot for us,” Mr Earley said.
Entering the home, residents will find a wide open-plan living space as the centrepiece of the house, complete with a modern kitchen and island breakfast bar.
The masterplanned community allowed Mr and Ms Earley to get their kids into an open, friendly location as it was still being built-up.
Bedrooms border each side of the property, including a master bedroom by the main entrance with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. Each bedroom features airconditioning, with three bedrooms offering an in-built wardrobe and a fourth able to double as an office.
Off to the far end of the house is a huge, shaded veranda, offering outside comforts with easy access from living spaces and one of the five bedrooms.
A self-cleaning in-ground pool is placed at the back of the property, with a newly built contemporary shed right beside it.
The property’s pool and shed were installed by the owners to give their kids things to do in the heat of the summer, while still having plenty of space to play in.
Mr Earley said the family had both the pool and the shed installed after they had moved in, and that they were some of his favourite parts of the property.
“We designed the backyard for the kids to have plenty of room for them to grow up by the pool,” he said.
“I think the shed’s very unique – we had it designed so it was appealing to look at from the outside.”
The property will be going to auction on Monday, July 20, with agents from Ray White Palmerston.
The airconditioned shed doubles as a workshop for anyone with a knack for tools, as well as a space the Earley family used for indoor sports.
“We could play basketball and table tennis when it got real hot through the summer,” Mr Earley said.
“I think it’s a beautiful house with a great backyard and shed, with plenty of room for the kids to run around.”
Ms Earley said the family would miss their community, now that they had parted ways with the home they’d spent so many years in.
“We had lovely neighbours,” she said. “We loved it, [and] we’re very sad to be leaving the region.”
The home is up for auction on July 20, for sale with Ray White Palmerston.
