Interstate buyers price locals out of Geelong
Heated polished concrete floors feature in the main open-plan living area.
McGrath, Geelong agent Jim Cross said its build quality gave another couple the confidence to buy the second property next door at 15 Cairns Ave for $1.3m.
He said both townhouses had been on the market as an off-the-plan product for some time but buyers had initially held back.
“Those two townhouse we did start advertising off the plan, however it’s fair to say that at the moment in the current market off-the-plan sales have been a little bit more challenging,” Mr Cross said.
“Out of the two properties, the developer/builder decided to finish 51 Nicholas St ahead of number 15 Cairns Ave, which is the sister property to the corner, so we could advertise the finished product.
The minor bedrooms have built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans.
The cladding has the appearance of weatherboard but is actually a durable, low-maintenance alternative.
“Since finishing the construction and furnishing it we have had really good interest on both townhouses.”
The two-storey residences are flush with premium features from polished concrete floors with in-slab hydronic heating, imported marble benchtops, timber cabinetry and Miele kitchen appliances.
The main open-plan living and main bedroom suite are on the ground floor, giving buyers the option to live largely on a single level.
Mr Cross said the buyers were impressed with the first-class finish from Bolder Constructions once they could see and touch it.
“Because they sell multimillion-dollar builds and renovation down the coast they are really high-end builders,” he said.
“They have carried that flavour and quality through these two townhouses and that has really shown through on completion.”
