CMLS names Cameron Kinzer director of advocacy

The Council of Multiple Listing Services (CMLS) has named Cameron Kinzer director of advocacy, according to an announcement on Thursday. The organization said this expands its government relations and public policy work as MLSs face heightened legislative, regulatory and legal scrutiny. In the newly created role, Kinzer will lead CMLS’s advocacy strategy and engagement with lawmakers, regulators and industry partners nationwide. He will work closely with CMLS CEO Jessica Edgerton, the board of directors and members to monitor policy developments and respond to issues affecting MLSs at the federal, state and local levels. “CMLS has made a commitment to show up wherever the future of MLS is being discussed, and Cameron gives us the experience and capacity to make that commitment real,” Edgerton said in the announcement. “The MLS community needs a strong, informed voice in policy conversations at every level.
