Christmas comes early for millions of Australians

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and with household costs continuing to squeeze Australians, many are bringing forward the festive cheer with new research revealing 8.8 million people decorating for the season before December. New research from premium Christmas decor brand Balsam Hill found that more than half of Aussies aged 18 to 44 decorate early, compared to less than a third of those aged 65 and over. Two-thirds of Aussies support the trend, with 43 per cent believing people are starting Christmas early because they want something joyful to look forward to. Lifestyle influencer and content creator Bronte Rose (@bronte_rose) is among those embracing the early Christmas spirit, having put up her tree in September this year after decorating early last year.
