A trophy home in Brisbane’s Bayside is tipped to sell for a suburb record in one of the most expensive deals in southeast Queensland this year.
The four-level house named ‘Seachange’ hit the market this week and includes a string of luxury features from a floating pool and internal water atrium to stone feature walls and an inverted staircase.
Well-known designer Chris Clout and celebrity builder Graya were behind the design and construction of the home which offers sweeping water views across Moreton Bay.

Agents Phillip Rand and Hunter B Parkes, of Whitefox Brisbane, are marketing the property via expressions of interest.
“It’s incredibly hard to establish a true replacement value for a unique property asset such as Seachange,” Mr Rand said.
“It’s a very grand house that’s been designed with significant proportions throughout however it’s still been designed as a very liveable and manageable family home.”

Property records reveal the sellers, Karen McKeown and Lindsay Birley — a former global freight company boss — paid $2.8m for the 1325sq m block in Scarborough in 2019.
“Seachange is built on an irreplaceable waterfront parcel of land,” said Mr Rand, who declined to comment on why the owners were selling.
“It’s a true trophy asset.”

Welcome to Seachange.
The residence features multiple living zones, a full-service bar, temperature-controlled wine cellar, gym, sauna and lift.
“The house itself has four levels and it’s got the most incredible connection to the water from each level and each zone.”
It’s not the first time Graya has built on the street — the neighbouring property ‘Horizon’, also built by Graya, sold for $11.5m in 2024.
“Horizon is half the size of Seachange,” Mr Rand said.

Locals have been watching the build of Seachange.
The highest sale in Queensland this year is ‘Teneriffe House’ at Teneriffe, which is understood to have sold offmarket for more than $18.5m.
Since launching Seachange to the market, Mr Rand said he had been inundated with local and interstate interest.
“A lot of locals have seen the house being built and have identified it as the most iconic trophy asset ever delivered on the Bayside,” he said.
“To source and deliver in this construction environment or to even come close to replicating what is here would take anywhere between three to four years.”
The highest sale on record in Brisbane is $25m, paid last year for a riverfront knockdown owned by the co-founder of Graya.
