A stunning unit in the redesigned Luigi Rosselli block is up for sale. Mariposa’s Art Deco facade got its first starring role in the 1999 Heath Ledger film, Two Hands. Today the iconic Bondi Beach building, the name of which means butterfly in Spanish, has emerged from its scaffolding cocoon with a glamorous makeover by Sydney’s modern day “starchitect” Luigi Rosselli. The 11-apartment block at 246 Campbell Pde was the backdrop for a crucial scene in the memorable film, also starring Rose Byrne. Ledger’s “Jimmy” goes to deliver $10,000 to an elderly woman on behalf of crime boss Pando, played by Bryan Brown.
