Villawood Properties’ two-for-one land deal protecting SA conservation park

Here’s a property deal you can feel good about. For every greenfield block it sells, developer Villawood Properties is donating two blocks of forest reserves to the State Government to be set apart as dedicated conservation sites. The developer has a total 1640ha headed for conservation sites on SA’s Yorke Peninsula at Foul Bay, with 1000ha of that having already been handed over. The two-for-one arrangement has accounted for 632ha of this, with the remaining 640ha in the process of being transferred. The generous donation aims to protect the native flora and fauna of the heritage-listed Warrenben Conservation Park, which is home to the endangered Goldsack’s leek-orchid, as well as the malleefowl, bush-stone curlew and the mallee whipbird.
