The Loan Store announced that it has changed its name to Averra Financial as the wholesale mortgage lender looks to reflect its expansion into a national lending platform. The new name took effect Oct. 1. The Loan Store acquired the wholesale business of Homepoint in 2023 and has since expanded its product offerings, technology and national footprint. The company said it has become one of the four largest wholesale lenders in the U.S. and has built one of the largest nonqualified mortgage (non-QM) platforms across lending channels. “The Loan Store name got us here, but it no longer tells the whole story of who we are,” Phil Shoemaker, CEO of Averra Financial, said in a statement. “Averra reflects a company that has grown into a national platform, one built on speed, product depth and real partnership with the brokers who put their clients first.” The rebrand comes as the company expands its product lineup. Averra said its non-QM volume increased 68% year to date through August compared with the same period in 2025.
