The Block star Rick Peroomal cuts price of Bellarine Peninsula home

17 Newcomb St, Ocean Grove, is on the market for $2.5m to $2.75m. Current The Block contestant Rick Peroomal is selling a luxury Bellarine Peninsula home described as having one of the best views in Ocean Grove. The veteran builder has done a number of projects in the area and jumped at the chance to buy the elevated block overlooking the Barwon River when it came up for sale some years ago. After subdividing the prime corner site, he and his business partners recently completed the first residence at 17 Newcomb St. The premium three-bedroom home should have provided fitting preparation for Melbourne-based Peroomal’s appearance on The Block with daughter Tayla, given both projects have a coastal connection. The judges have so far been underwhelmed with the father-daughter team’s efforts across the bay in Mount Eliza, this week labelling their guest suite “unsaleable”. But RT Edgar, Bellarine agent Brock Grainger said it was hard to fault the quality of the Ocean Grove property.
