The Block 2026 Episode 30 recap: Tayla and Jolene at each other’s throats in embarrassing spectacle

A foul-mouthed tirade in the middle of Freedom furniture is the culmination of tonight’s episode, but first the teams inspect one another’s kitchens. Adam and Jolene’s winning room won high praise from everyone except Courtney, who didn’t like the flipped layout that had impressed the judges. Sev wasn’t a fan of Lisa and Rosco’s dark timber cabinetry. “It’s moody Melbourne, not coastal Mt Eliza,” she says, and then gently suggests her and Courtney’s loss of kitchen week despite having $250,000 worth of upgraded appliances might have been because it locked them into a more industrial vibe. If they’d been able to integrate their pricey fridge “it would have softened it slightly” she argues. Jolene and Lisa aren’t impressed with the girls’ kitchen regardless, with Lisa declaring it lacks the “wow factor” and Jolene saying she’s “underwhelmed”. The teams are working on their laundry and rumpus rooms this week. They are all downstairs opening out on to the pool but the upper houses have 35sqm of rumpus while the lower homes have 45sqm.
