Student forced to live in car by housing crisis, survives on $10 a day

A full-time university student says Australia’s housing crisis has become so brutal he’s now living in his car and surviving on just $10 a day for food while trying to finish his degree. Gold Coast student Jadon Lukas says he was pushed into homelessness after a $200 rent increase left him unable to afford a room in a share house while studying full-time. The 26-year-old psychology student said he moved into his car in July and plans to stay there for at least another two months as he completes the second year of his Psychology degree. “The cost of living in Australia has gone crazy.
