Channel 7 star Sonia Kruger and her partner, the former Channel 7 executive Craig McPherson, have reduced the height of their proposed $6.9m home on the Balmoral slopes.
The reductions, which trim up to 1250mm off the height of the proposal lodged last November, are being considered by Mosman Council planning officers.
The amended proposal still sees a noncompliance with council height rules, but reduced from 2.31m higher to 1.06m under the plans by Koichi Takada Architects for the hillside 743sq m block.

Earlier this year the couple was asked to install height poles on the site to indicate the height of the side walls of the proposed house.
“We have been traumatised looking at these height poles for the past few weeks as they show very clearly the vast bulk of the building,” neighbours Neil and Jenny Jagger told the council. The revised 1.06m noncompliance now covers 25 square metres, or 5 per cent of the overall building footprint.
“It is considered that the proposed dwelling is in-keeping with surrounding development and is compatible with existing buildings in terms of height and roof form,” according to the Minto Planning report.

It suggests the fresh proposal will not result in any “unreasonable view loss.”
“All high value items including North Head, Rocky Point Island and the Middle Head land/water interface will remain unaffected.
The proposed dwelling comprises four levels, including a lift, designed to step down with the site’s topography.

It will have 366sq m floor space under the concrete roof.
They are reducing the size of the two pools.
The amended proposal will result in a compliant landscape area of 299sq m or 40 per cent of the site.
Council was advised that in response to concerns regarding the streetscape presentation of the proposal, they plan to introduce planting on its northern and southern boundaries.
The television industry couple purchased a knock-down single storey property for $16.1m in March last year.

Their purchase in a prestigious pocket of the suburb was sold as a deceased estate, reportedly for $4.6m over its reserve with competition from six bidders.
The proposed development involves demolition of the existing three bedroom, one bathroom home sold by the family of milk bar proprietor George Psaltis and wife Hariclea, who had paid $31,000 in 1967.
Their purchase followed the couple’s sale of their previous, newly renovated Mosman home for $19m earlier last year to Primo Smallgood’s matriarch Maria Hunt.
