SkyMall founder and former Arizona state Sen. Bob Worsley is selling his family’s getaway retreat in the mountains of Heber, AZ.The 35-acre ranch, listed for $9,475,000, is anchored by a 18,952-square-foot lodge built by Pioneer Log Homes in 2000."It’s a huge log cabin he built just for his family and his grandchildren," says listing agent Josie Pakula with Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty. "It’s just really awesome."Named Legacy Lodge by its owners, it "began with a desire to build a place for our children and grandchildren to gather for holidays and vacation in the hopes that we could bring contrast between our traditions and time-tested family values with the noise of the world," according to the family’s story on the builder’s website. The lodge structure was built in Canada out of Western red cedar from British Columbia and transported to Arizona in 20 semitrucks. It took three days for the crew to reassemble it all, using two cranes to move the logs that were 20 to 30 inches wide. The copper in the roof is from Arizona mines, and the stones are from a creek near the property.Loading...The centerpiece of the property is a huge log cabin built in 2000.HUB Media - www.hubm...
