A fed-up couple has resorted to locking up their food after claiming a secretive share-house snacker kept helping herself to their groceries. From an energy drink to a full jar of Nutella, the pair say their food was disappearing left, right and centre – and now their pantry cupboard is under lock and key, with the fridge next. The couple, who live with three other housemates, said they were pushed to breaking point after a string of missing items from the kitchen in their shared home. Between the five residents, there are two fridges and several pantry cupboards, with the couple sharing one cupboard and a smaller fridge between them. But they allege someone had been quietly raiding their shelves for weeks. It started with an energy drink, they said, before escalating to six scones, ramen, an entire jar of Nutella and “potentially more things” they hadn’t yet realised were missing.
