"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar and her actor husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., have put their stunning Hamptons-stye Los Angeles home on the market for $10.5 million—13 years after they purchased the property to serve as their family abode.
Gellar, 49, and Prinze, 50, who wed in 2002 and share two children, paid $6.1 million for the five-bedroom, six-bathroom abode, which spans more than 7,300 square feet and is located in one of Los Angeles' "most private and sought-after residential enclaves" in Mandeville Canyon.
The area has been home to a host of celebrities over the years, including Chelsea Handler, who owns a property just a short distance from the couple's abode, while Gellar's "Cruel Intentions" co-star Reese Witherspoon also resided in the area for many years before selling her home in 2022.
The couple briefly listed the dwelling for rent in March 2025, with an asking price of $60,000 a month, according to property records, and listing images indicate that they have already moved out of the home, which they shared with daughter Charlotte, 16, and son Rocky, 13.
However, anyone who follows Gellar closely on social media will no doubt be familiar with the abode's very elegant interiors, which have served as the backdrop for several of her Instagram posts over the years, including cooking videos filmed with her kids in their spacious kitchen.

The open-plan kitchen and living room area serves as the heart of the property—which is listed with Cindy Ambuehl of Christie's International Real Estate Southern California—offering ample space for entertaining, including a sizable island, a dining nook, and a large seating area that opens up directly onto the backyard.
For more upscale dining, there is a beautiful formal dining room that features a large table, patterned floral wallpaper, and a unique spiked chandelier that hands at the center of the space.
The main level begins with a dramatic double-height entry way that opens up to an upper story balcony and unfolds with several different living spaces, including a cozy office with its own fireplace, a dark and moody powder room, and a more formal living room with another fireplace.
There is also a full wet bar, ideal for entertaining, as well as a second staircase that leads to the upper level directly from the kitchen.
Upstairs, a stunning primary suite takes center stage, offering enough room for a private indoor seating area, while an enormous private balcony overlooking the lush backyard serves as the ideal space for a morning coffee.
The primary suite also boasts a stunning—and very large—ensuite bathroom with a huge soaking tub, double sinks, a vanity space, and a huge walk-in shower.
Then there are the two walk-in closets, one of which features a sizable island at its center, ideal for storing accessories.
Another bedroom on the second story of the home appears to have been used by one of the couple's children, with a cozy bed set into an alcove that has been outfitted with custom built-ins, as well as its own TV.

This space also features its own balcony, as well as ample room for a desk—while another, smaller bedroom has been turned into a playroom, although it could well be repurposed as a private office by a future owner.
A third level of the property features a very cozy den, with a large sectional couch at its center, as well as a reading nook in the window and a small dining space. This space also appears to have been used as a game room, with an arcade machine nestled in a small alcove.
Also found on this level is a gym space, with a pilates machine and a rowing machine, as well as several sets of weights.
Moving outside, the property features a stunning backyard space, with a large swimming pool and built-in spa, a paved seating area, and a covered patio with plenty of room for outdoor dining. There is also a large outdoor kitchen space, complete with a built-in grill.
And while the home does have neighboring properties on either side, high hedges and lush trees help to make it feel complete private, creating a kind of oasis that feels truly remote and secluded.
The couple has not revealed why they've chosen to move on from the dwelling, where they have lived for more than a decade, however Gellar's social media posts suggests that they have already snapped up a new abode.
Earlier this year, the "Cruel Intentions" star opened up about her home life with Prinze, joking that one of the key amenities that has helped their marriage to survive is having separate bathrooms.
"You don't have to be so fancy that there's two bathrooms in your bedroom! There just has to be another bathroom available," she told People magazine in March, noting that this feature "stops a lot of petty fighting."

Gellar also praised their fans for allowing them to enjoy a very private life at home with their children, noting that they have always strived to keep their more intimate family life behind closed doors.
"And we're allowed to live in that. And our fans have been so respectful of that," she said.
In 2023, the actress opened up to the outlet about the process of buying her first home when she was just 20 years old and starring in the hit sci-fi series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
She described her initial excitement at finding a property that would serve as her "sanctuary," telling the outlet: "Initially, it's just the excitement. The idea that I have a home that is mine and that when you close those doors, that's your sanctuary, that's your peace away from everything."
However, she admitted that her enthusiasm about homeownership soon changed into fear at handling the many responsibilities that come with buying a property, including maintenance of the home and all the bills that are involved.
"The realities hit you, especially at 20 years old, of what you're responsible for with a house," she said.
Moving into a house was also a novel experience for the actress, who grew up in New York City, where she spent her childhood living in apartments.
"Being responsible for a house—especially for me, who grew up in an apartment building that had a maintenance person—you don't realize how overwhelming it really is," she shared.
