Eric Dane's estranged wife, Rebecca Gayheart, has lifted the lid on the shock that came with the actor's death, revealing that she had "no idea that was it." While speaking to NBC's Maria Shriver on Nov. 3—the same day the late Hollywood star's memoir, "My Book of Days," hit shelves—Gayheart, 55, reflected on the final moments of Dane's life.The actor, was diagnosed with the degenerative neurological disease in April 2025 and died on the afternoon of Feb. 19, 2026.
