Members of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) are adopting technology primarily to save time and improve the client experience, according to NAR’s 2026 Realtors Technology Report released Tuesday. Over four-fifths (81%) of surveyed members said saving time is their primary goal in adopting new technology, up from 66% in 2025, NAR said in the report. Improving client experience was the second most common driver, cited by 71% of agents, compared to 64% a year earlier. “Real estate agents are making practical choices about technology, and the two payoffs they want most are time and a smoother experience for their clients,” NAR Deputy Chief Economist Jessica Lautz said in a statement. “Those priorities have grown stronger over the past year. When routine work gets handled faster, agents have more time for the guidance, negotiation, and steady advice that clients count on through a major financial decision.” AI moves into daily workflows The report highlights a sharp shift in how Realtors use artificial intelligence.
