A commercial real estate agency has been recognised for educating investors and the wider public about western Sydney’s commercial property opportunities and challenges.

The team at RWC Western Sydney worked hard last year to position itself as one of the region’s leading commercial property voices, becoming a go-to source for investors, developers and governments.

Western Sydney is a commercial property hotspot, driven by rapid population growth, major infrastructure spending and improving transport links that have attracted industrial and commercial property investment at scale.

It’s one of the reasons why RWC Western Sydney has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Commercial Agency of the Year Award at this year’s REA Excellence Awards.

Peter Vines, commercial real estate agent and managing director at RWC Western Sydney, said they invested heavily in research that they shared with investors and the public for free to help them make better decisions.

“We have commissioned deep research into the Western Sydney market across a variety of asset classes,” he said.

“We provide research across industrial, commercial, retail, blocks of units, childcare, residential development, and more, which we’re incredibly proud of.

“We get many calls from major institutional landowners and other investors who say, 'these reports are so valuable to us.'

“The basis for any decision should come from information, so the more intel we can provide to clients, the better decisions they can make.”

It comes as the western Sydney commercial property market enters 2026 with renewed stability and a continued focus on fundamentals, according to the agency.

Mr Vines said there were areas of opportunity in the region, but there were also challenges out there.

“Construction costs are still a major issue in terms of delivering new housing and commercial property," he said.

“But I think there's a very good opportunity in terms of existing stock, through refurbishing and repurposing, so it’s about working assets harder to get them yielding better.”

The completion of the Western Sydney International Airport in Badgerys Creek, scheduled to open later this year, is also set to boost the local economy significantly.

In addition to their research, the agency also made great strides in their marketing and customer service in 2025, Mr Vines said.

On the agency’s award nomination, he said he was incredibly proud.

“As a business, we are constantly trying to improve and excel so we can add more value to our clients,” he said.

“So being recognised for the hard work we’ve done to our systems, processes and team culture is a small victory because it’s a very competitive industry.

“To be recognised, even as a finalist, is important to us.”

The winners of this year’s REA Excellence Awards will be announced on 11 February 2026.
