Ben Carroll is facing a repair job to win over renters in his own electorate. Renters living in Victorian Premier Ben Carroll’s electorate are among the state’s most likely to need help to get their landlord to make repairs. Tenants Victoria analysis of tenants’ cries for help from Mr Carroll’s seat of Niddrie have found a third are for issues with getting repairs done, with dozens of calls logged even after more than 150 rental reforms from the Labor government. They’ve also recorded dozens of tenants forced to seek help over evictions in the new Premier’s electorate in the past year, and similar numbers hoping to dispute their landlord making what they feel were unfair claims against their bond.
