1/56-58 Wolseley Rd, Point Piper is in the name of prominent property investor Bruce McWilliam. A caveat on the title indicates it’s sold. A waterfront triplex in Point Piper has sold for a whopping $66m in a secret property deal, Sydney’s biggest residential sale so far this year. And insiders say the 1163sqm block could be the site of the country’s most expensive home, potentially worth $200m or more, in the future. The sale of the three apartments occurred in the most expensive street in the nation, 56-58 Wolseley Rd, back on June 19, according to a caveat on each of the titles. And the buyer is a high-end property developer known for luxury residential and apartment projects across Sydney’s east, Hpone Thaung. The agents understood to have put the off-market deal together are Bill Malouf of Highland Double Bay Malouf and Peter Leipnik of Bradfield BadgerFox Double Bay. Neither would comment when contacted. The deal surpasses the previous record for the year of $57m, the Wentworth Rd, Vaucluse home of property magnate Steve Grant and his wife, Eliza, in April.
