Pierce Brosnan has revealed why he is finally walking away from his $US100m ($A149m) Malibu mansion after nearly 30 years. The 73-year-old James Bond star admitted a mix of wildfire terror, earthquake fears and escalating financial pressure had pushed him and wife Keely Shaye Smith to abandon the oceanfront compound. Speaking to The Times, Brosnan confessed the couple were ready for a permanent escape after surviving several natural disasters. “We’ve been spared by the fires a few times now. But I think it’s time to move. Everything changes, everything falls apart,” the Golden Globe nominee said. “We live by this body of earth’s water on a fault in a ring of earthquakes.
