The humble home garden can reduce your risk of type two diabetes, according to new research led by the University of Queensland. Diabetes affects more than 500 million people worldwide and that number is expected to double to 1.31 billion by 2050. This new research shows that building cities around greenspaces is not only a ‘nice to have’ but could play a key role in improving public health.
