Mona Vale house price record doubles

27-29 Surfview Rd, Mona Vale, once owned by former McDonalds Australia boss Peter Ritchie, has sold for a record price. Mona Vale’s price record has more than doubled after the recent sale of a designer beachfront home once owned by Australia’s McDonald’s boss. An off market deal has seen the Northern Beaches suburb reach a new real estate benchmark of $29m with the sale of 27-29 Surfview Rd, previously the home of Leigh and Peter Ritchie, former chief executive of the burger chain. In 2014, the Richies had sold the Mona Vale home to former Goodman and BlackRock executive James Quille and his wife Gillian for $7.65m. Last week, settlement records revealed that the sprawling Peter Burford-designed beach house on 2056sq m was bought by poker player Tom Rafferty and his wife Milly.
