It’s only natural homebuyers and architecture buffs are expected to swarm a Caulfield North home used to record large chunks of Crowded House’s acclaimed album, Woodface. The 195 Hawthorn Rd modern art deco residence was owned by Australian and New Zealand rock legend Tim Finn while he was working with Crowded House on the band’s Woodface album. Finn, brother of Crowded House frontman Neil Finn, is better known as the band leader of Split Enz — and was living at the address when the eclectic band released two albums, with songs including I Walk Away and Message to My Girl.
