It’s the first year the Japanese company has been listed as one consolidated builder, with Henley Homes, Scott Park Group and Wisdom Homes making up the rest of the group’s Australian operations. Metricon had previously held the number one spot for 10 years. In October 2024, Sumitomo Forestry acquired a 51% stake in the builder, becoming its majority shareholder. Together, the Sumitomo Forestry Australia Group brands recorded 8038 new home starts across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia. ABN Group, which owns builders including Boutique Homes, Celebration Homes, Dale Alcock Homes and Homebuyers Centre, ranked second with 3764 starts. NEX Building Gro...
