An unlivable, junk-filled property in Elizabeth East could soon be cleaned up and transformed into three sparkling new homes. The rubbish-strewn property at 16 Midway Rd has already caught the eye of two keen developers, just days after it was listed for sale. More developers would likely also show interest before the property’s August 29 auction, selling agent Roy Laird said, who conceded there was no option for the buyer but to demolish an existing three-bedroom brick home and start again on a clean slate. “Developers will be all that will be interested (in the property) given the condition of the home,’’ said Mr Laird, of Harcourts Barossa. 16 Midway Rd, Elizabeth East. “It’s as rough as guts, without speaking out of turn, and it’s going to be sold as is. “But it is attractive (to developers) – it’s a good size, there’s a good (20.1m) frontage and it’s got an easement. “In that area, there’s still high activity around the building of new homes.’’ The sales listing features no interior images of the home, which Mr Laird declared uninhabitable.
