1668 Riverdale Drive, Hope Island has sold in a deal understood to be more than $12m.

An interstate buyer has bought a lavish Gold Coast mansion in one of the biggest property deals in Queensland this week.

The newly constructed five-bedroom home at Hope Island comes with a steam room, waterfront swimming pool, glass-walled wine cellar, and an underground basement with parking for 12 cars.

The outdoor kitchen provides yet another space to entertain.

Joshua Soineva and Marc Keswell of Amir Prestige Group handled the sale of the property, which sold after it was taken to auction.

Mr Soineva declined to comment on the sale price but it’s understood to be more than $12m.

“The buyer is moving his family here for a sea-change,” Mr Soineva said.

“It’s all about the lifestyle, the weather and the beach here on the Gold Coast.”

The residence has been meticulously designed.

Two years in the design and build phase, 1668 Riverdale Drive has seen no expense spared in its luxury floorplan, boasting state-of-the-art finishes that range from imported marble and tiles to handmade Italian lighting, and custom cabinetry.

“The buyer liked that it was an ultra modern home in a gated estate,” Mr Soineva said.

“One of the comments was ‘it’s so open and very family friendly and perfect for entertaining’.

“He was very impressed with the overall design and how it was built.”

Offering views all the way up to the Coomera River, the concrete constructed home which was completed last year encompasses three levels, including an underground single-span basement.

Entertain in style.

In addition to providing ample storage for a car collection, the lower level also has a media room and dedicated wellness area complete with gym, sauna, and a mosaic tiled steam room that rivals those found in the finest luxury hotels.

The ground level above is home to the guest accommodation, an office, and the living, dining, and kitchen areas, including a formal lounge with wet bar and a glass-walled wine cellar.

Meanwhile, the upper floor accommodates a further three bedroom suites and a master retreat with its own private lounge area, luxurious dressing room, ensuite, and a safe room.

With its deluxe kitchen and indoor-outdoor dining spaces, the home is purpose built for entertaining.

Entertain or relax, the choice is yours.

The kitchen and dining areas open out onto a vast alfresco space with outdoor kitchen that overlooks the heated swimming pool, a firepit with built-in seating, and beyond to a boat pontoon.

The sale is the highest price paid for a property in Riverdale Drive although it does not trump the Hope Island suburb record of $19.7m for 7354-7356 Marine Drive East, Sanctuary Cove, which changed hands earlier this year.

Soak up that view.

Mr Soineva said the high-end market on the Gold Coast had experienced a shift over the past month.

“The lack of stock from that $9m to $15m price range is really having an impact on buyers making decisions quickly and moving forward quite aggressively with their purchases,” he said.

“We are seeing buyers really looking from one end of the Coast to the other.

“It really is a good cross pollination of taking buyers to different parts of the Gold Coast to showcase what each area has to offer, the water, aspect and what lifestyle amenities there are.”

The highest sale on the Gold Coast this year is $28m for a beachfront mansion at Mermaid Beach.
