Historic Queenscliff landmark The Vicarage finally finds new owner

13 Mercer St, Queenscliff, sold for an undisclosed price. A landmark Queenscliff home has ushered in a new chapter after finally finding just the third owner in its 161-year history. The Vicarage was originally built in 1865 to house Anglican vicars and now occupies one of the town’s largest private landholdings. The sale price of the three-storey former manse at 13 Mercer St, Queenscliff, has not been disclosed, however it is understood to be close to $4m. As recently as 2024 it was listed with $7m to $7.7m price hopes, which was scaled back to $4.9m to $5.3m for an expressions of interest campaign earlier this year. It was most recently advertised for $3.5m to $3.85m. RT Edgar listing agent Holly Hakins could not comment on the details of the sale, but said it was a “wonderful result”.
