Historic Petersham station master home sells for $2.311m after fierce auction battle

40 Station Street, Petersham is a gothic Victorian style home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A little slice of Petersham history sold under the hammer on Saturday in a spirited bidding battle that could signal the start of a market upturn. A crowd of around 70 gathered on the street corner where bidding for 40 Station Street opened at the guide price of $1.9m.
