Villa Amalfi at 50-52 Knightsbridge Parade East, Sovereign Islands has sold for $13m.


A four-level mansion on the Gold Coast with more bathrooms than bedrooms has sold for $13m.

The luxury property known as Villa Amalfi is on the Sovereign Islands and comes with a long list of features from a resort-style pool, theatre, lift, super-sized butler’s pantry and 10-car basement.

Agents Ivy Wu and Issac Kim, of Ivy Realty, handled the mega sale following a two-year campaign where the property was on and off the market.

The transaction is equal to the price paid for nearby 5719 Anchorage Terrace, Sanctuary Cove.

“We sold Villa Amalfi to a Chinese family from Sydney,” Mr Kim said.

“They bought it because they loved the weather on the Gold Coast and want to retire here.”

Property records reveal 50-52 Knightsbridge Parade East last changed hands in 2016 for $4.888888 million.

The seller than spent close to $3m renovating the property and transforming it into what it is today.

Villa Amalfi’s house plan stretches more than 1273 sqm on a 720 sqm block with 27m of Broadwater frontage.

The property is on the exclusive Sovereign Islands.

The pool meanders its way through the middle of the trophy home and can be enjoyed form different vantage points.

Mr Kim said his team was getting a lot of traction on their properties that were listed above $10m.

“We are getting a lot of interest on those larger properties,” he said.

“When people are buying a high-end property they are buying it for themselves to live in.”
