A Gold Coast property boss has warned sellers who refuse to drop fantasy price tags risk watching their biggest asset rot on the market, as increasingly selective buyers take their time to hunt for a deal. “I think 28 days on the market, give or take, will be the new benchmark for a successful sale for the rest of 2026, not whether auction clearance rates remain sky high,” Ray White Malan + Co chief executive Michael Andrews said.
