Channel 9 star Georgie Gardner has announced her exit from the network, walking away with a multimillion-dollar property empire and a series of savvy real estate moves.
The 9News host announced her “shock” departure, ending a run that included two stints on the Today Show.
While her next move is unknown, Gardner and investment banker husband Tim Baker have spent years building an impressive portfolio.

Mosman
In 2018, the couple snapped up a six-bedroom home in Mosman for $6 million.
The settlement on the trophy home took place on December 19 — the same day her former co-host Karl Stefanovic was sensationally sacked from the Today Show.
The property features a 2000-bottle wine cellar, a 12m swimming pool, and a dedicated teenage retreat.
The estate also includes two separate apartments, including one with a fireplace and integrated kitchen.

Artarmon
That same year, Gardner and Baker offloaded their home in Artarmon for $4.2 million.
The couple proved their property savvy by adding a 79 sqm extension worth $95,510 to the home after receiving council approval in 2012.
The 797 sqm block also featured a swimming pool and manicured gardens.

Woollahra and Culburra Beach
In 2019, the pair continued to consolidate their wealth by selling two more properties.
They offloaded a South Coast holiday retreat at Culburra Beach for $800,000. Records show the cottage cost them just $560,000 in 2007.
The couple also sold a Woollahra investment property for an undisclosed sum after seeking more than $850,000.

The Exit
Nine confirmed Gardner’s departure in a statement, noting she has been a “constant presence” in Australian living rooms since 2002.
Gardner described the move on Instagram as “exciting news” but admitted to a mix of emotions.
“After 34 yrs of broadcast journalism, I’ve decided to call it a day. Just shy of 24 yrs at Nine, my resignation has been accepted – which conjures up a fair bit of trepidation & exhilaration in equal measure,” she wrote.
“So time now to embark on a new chapter & not yet sure what that looks like, but I’m open to new opportunities & I’m excited. So much still to learn & discover in the world, and at age 55, so much still to contribute.”
