Feral cat squatters derail major renovation with ‘ungodly stench’

An abandoned house has become the centre of an extraordinary squatter stand-off after a family of feral cats took over the property and refused to leave, bringing a major renovation to a near-complete stop. The nightmare scene inside is so foul that tradies have been forced into respirators, with one veteran contractor saying the reeking “cat squatter house” is worse than a property where his crew once found more than 1000 used syringes. Dustin Crapo, owner of Casper-based CbG Construction LLC, told Cowboy State Daily the Wyoming property had been overrun by cats for well over a year before his team was brought in to remodel it.
