A mum who spent $324,000 on a two-storey granny flay for her disabled daughter has been ordered to tear it down after losing a final planning fight. Clair Birch, 59, built the backyard dwelling at her semi-detached home in Worcester, England, so her daughter could have more independence. Instead, the build sparked a bitter neighbourhood backlash, with locals labelling it an “eyesore” and comparing it to a “second house”. According to reports by The Sun, the row centres on the size of the structure. Worcester City Council refused the application and issued an enforcement notice ordering the granny flat to be demolished.
